Mountain Sweet Pitcher Plant

Sarracenia jonesii

Description:

This rare pitcher plant is carnivorous; it relies on insects to provide nutrients because it grows in sphagnum bogs with acidic soil. Downward-facing hairs prevent prey from escaping.
