Beewolf Wasp

Philanthus triangulum

Description:

Looks like a wasp but I can‘t find it in my book of Insects of the Canary Island and nothing on the internet. Its about 2 cm long... So I think I found it: but perhaps somebody has some more information for me? Still haven't seen any with this "crown" on the face.

Habitat:

I rescued it from our pool, it needed some time to recover - the chance for me to take a few photos.. We live near a golf course in the desert landscape of south Gran Canaria

Notes:

The bright face with the "crown" is conspicuous.
