Acladocricus sp.
Hi kirkybit, your spottings are looking much better now. I was very pleased to see that you have managed to edit and arrange the layout of the “Wood Ear”, the “Giant Golden Orb Weaver” and the “Philippine Giant Blue Millipede”. I had some doubts about the ID Suggestion I sent you for the Mindanao Splash Frog, but I think you should go ahead and edit that one now, to make it look as good as the others. If, by any chance, my ID is wrong and someone else finds a better ID, that will be no problem. We can just make sure that their suggestion is correct and then edit your spotting accordingly. I will keep an eye on this one. Well done!
Hi kirkibit, now things have moved on a little, since my last comment, early this morning. I see that arne.roysland (who is a good friend - if you look at my spotting page, you will see that he is on my "Following" list) very kindly sent you an ID Suggestion and it confirms this millipede as Acladocricus sp., exactly as you mentioned it in your comment to me this morning. So, now I would ask you to please click on "Edit this Spotting" and change the Common Name to Philippine Giant Blue Millipede (you might need to uncheck the "Help me ID this species" under the common name box. Then please put Acladocricus sp. in the box for Scientific name. Finally, please copy https://www.eol.org/pages/4236033... into the Encyclopedia of Life box, under Add a reference. Then click on Publish Spotting. If you have done it all correctly, you should now have a perfect spotting. I hope you will try to do all of the above because it will become easier every time you do it. Your spottings are so beautiful, they deserve to be correctly displayed on Project Noah. Thanks for youe attention, kirkybit. I will always try to be available if you need any help. You, together with Arne Roysland and me, are all in the Philippines. So, we are all neighbours :-)
Hi kirkybit, please note that the Species ID Suggestion box is for other Project Noah members to use so that they can help you. You should not use it to make suggestions to yourself. If you think that you have found the ID (or other helpful information), please click on "Edit this Spotting", under your photo and add the information to your Spotting Page. Then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Publish Spotting". I think that you should now go to your Species ID Suggestion and hover over it with the mouse cursor until you see the red "X" appear in the bottom right corner and click on the "X" to remove that suggestion. Don't worry, no harm done and you will soon get the hang of it.
