I don't know what kind of berry they are, but I think they're from berry family. The taste was a bit sour and sweet.

Habitat:

Mount Lawu, Central Java, Indonesia

Hi Yeni! I've just been doing a search, there is a 'Strawberry ' tree - Arbutus andrachne but the leaf shape and plant growth is nothig like the habit of your spotting. Very interesting. Good luck with getting an ident : )

Hi VivBraznell,

The shape is same as strawberry, but it's not. They have hollow body, not solid like strawberry. And also less watery than strawberry.
