The largest pit viper. Mud yellow, with black pattern on its back. White belly. They have a thinner, more agile body than North American vipers.

Habitat:

Rain forests in Central and South America

Notes:

This big guy came to meet me as I stepped up to look into his cage. If he hadn't been behind glass I would have been worried.
