Hey welcome to Project Noah. Good to see spottings from Darwin although I'm a little envious. We've got none in Melbourne now. Moisture makes all the difference I guess. Hope you enjoy the website.

It is a Gymnopilus species.

Great spotting, ddecurtins. I don't know which species this is, but I don't think they are False Chanterelles. The mushrooms in the photo have a stem ring and thick broad gills, False Chanterelle doesn't have does features.
