Tuberous plant, after blooming the flower develops into inflated fruits and the whole plant tumbles in the field.

Habitat:

Leontice leontopetalum is a tuberous plant growing in fields and open areas in Europe and SW Asia. In Israel it is common in loessial soils of the Negev Desert.
