Description:

Medium-sized toad between 2 to 3.5 inches. Skin color can change depending on habitat colors, humidity, stress, and temperature. Colors can range from yellow to brown to black, from solid colors to speckled. Eastern toads have spots that contain only one or two warts. It also has enlarged warts on the lower leg below the knee.

Habitat:

Spotted near the Tamarac visitor center. Found near water and dense patches of vegetation for cover and hunting insects. They can live almost everywhere, forests to flat grassland.

Notes:

Eastern American toad subspecies.
