Eastern Gray Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

Though referred to as gray squirrels some appear to be more brown or reddish brown. White undersides, with big bushy tails.

Habitat:

Cities, towns, woods...just about anywhere.

Notes:

I watch this adorable little squirrel run around trying to find a safe place to hide the nut in his mouth. It would pause every now and again just to look at me. I think he was making sure i wasn't going to steal his prize or give his hiding spot away.
