Description:

large blackbird with yellow head and black mask, female brown streaked with yellow throat. Call described as a rusty hinge sound. Birds nest over water

Habitat:

park hosts feeder(near lake)

Notes:

Over the past several years these birds which in our state were found in Eastern sector have started moving west of the cascades. There are at least two pairs breeding in the park and recent reports of another pair further n in portland
