Found in our vegetable garden feeding on Goldenrod flowers [Solidago].
These six foot tall Goldenrod plants were growing in a fallow part of our vegetable garden. The flowers last a long time. I had noticed an extended period when there were few insects to be seen. Then for a few days or so they were all over these flowers. Other insects were more abundant also. Then they were gone.
