Description:

Tall, woody plant with lanceolate, green leaves. Small flowers with white petals and yellow to green centers (green in this case). This North American native wildflower blooms in the summer. The sap from this plant can be an irritant. It has a history of traditional medicinal uses.

Habitat:

Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky. Temperate forest.
