Eastern grey kangaroo

Macropus giganteus

Description:

This eastern grey kangaroo is a marsupial that lives with around 15 others in the One Tree Hill Regional Park in Bendigo. Often visiting the nearby La Trobe University football oval for a feed, this one found its way to the Coliban Water Race (remnant water channel carved into the ridge line to feed water to the gold fields) for a drink on a hot summer night. Curious but nervous, they are not aggressive.
