Chilocorus cacti
Shiny black ladybug with one red spot on each elytra. Red underside.
It was on a Redbud tree.

If the underside is mostly red, it must be the Cactus Lady Beetle, Chilocorus cacti. The Twice-stabbed Lady Beetle, Chilocorus stigma, is half-red and half-black on the underside.
