Black-capped Donacobius

Donacobius atricapilla

Description:

Despite being a common species from Panama to South America, it has not yet been classified in a particular family; for what is known as Incertae sedis (Uncertain) I could observe it along rivers with gramineous vegetation and near the forest. it is said that couples live together for life and I could see several that joined to sing together

Habitat:

Close to rivers , lagoon. they like tall grasses and edges of forest close to water.

Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated Jonathan!
