Description:

Dorsal coloration is brown with reddish or coppery reflections and complete maculations are present. Common habitats are very close to water, but this species can be found in a variety of environments. Some of the most common places these beetles live are pond edges, banks and sandbars of rivers and streams, mud flats, and shorelines. This is a spring/fall species with a 2-year lifecycle.
