Spotted Flower Buprestid

Description:

Two small beetles on the Black-eyed Susan disc. The smaller one flew in and landed on the larger ones back, but soon climbed down and began working on the same flower. They are dark brownish black with elaborate yellow markings.

Habitat:

The wildflower garden is part of an overall wildlife habitat that is mostly native plants.
