I love the robber flies! We had an influx of various species here once the rains started over a month ago. Now there are very few left. I hoping for a new emergence of different species. Beautiful series!

Awesome Emma! I was amazed at the diversity of bees once I started taking photo's of them. A lot are difficult to ID to the species or even genus level.
I think some bees are braver than they should be but that's funny about the lizard.

I finally saw a field cricket!!
Hope fully I will be able to see all the other bugs someday!!
I am getting interested in Bees now. I saw your bee collection and you do have a wide variety in there!
The other day I saw a bee digging away. A western lizard tried to get it. It ignored the lizard and went on digging and digging.

:) They do! They're really cool looking!

This insect seems to be a combo of a dragon fly and a grass hopper!!
