It's not dead, its just finished flowering. It looks like it's in okay shape. Phalaenopsis need moderate light and like to be watered heavily about once a week. A weak fertilizer every 2 weeks will also help your plant grow and flower again. Phalaenopsis generally set bud in the fall and flower in the winter.
