Cream-spotted Ichneumon

Echthromorpha intricatoria

Description:

Body black with white spots in a line on the abdomen and scattered on thorax. Legs and abdomen orange-red. Body up to 3 cm long.

Habitat:

Open grassy woodlands

Notes:

Cream-spotted Ichneumon females lay an egg, or eggs, inside caterpillars by using the ovipositor at the end of their abdomen. The larva feeds on the caterpillar and the adult wasp eventually emerges from the caterpillar's cocoon. Females cannot sting.

If you look at the last photo of it , you can see a slight shade of orange like your's .....maybe they need some sunshine to shine brighter...not getting much of that down here.
