tortoise beetle

Description:

tortoise beetles mating. If I saw these separately I would have thought they were different species, as they look nothing alike.

Habitat:

tropical forest, 1000m

Notes:

I was lucky enough to find quite a few tortoise beetles in the forest around Ginger's Paradise but I was surprised to see these two mating.
