Grey Bushchat (female)

Saxicola ferreus

Notes:

found this one taking bath in a puddle of water. Nearby on an electric wire, i saw a male grey bushchat perched. So i guessed it maybe female grey bushchat.

hi Atul, i checked and was still doubtful. I have added the dorsal view of the same bird. I took it as a snapshot from the video so the quality isn't that good, but just a view. I hope you can confirm from this angle. ?

Thank you Liam. But Whinchat's distribution doesn't fall within India. It does matches somewhat with grey bushchat. Lets wait and see.

Looks too demarcated for Gray Bushchat. I might say Whinchat, Saxicola rubetra, but I'm not too sure. You could ask the folks on Birdforum.net
