A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Cryptocephalus guttulatus
5 mm long red & white spotted leaf beetle.
Semi rural
I can't find this guy on bugguide so help with an ID would be appreciated.
Thanks Jacob!
:D I definitely knew I was wrong, just pointing out similarities! Nice pics, too!
Thanks Cindy!
It sure looks like the Fourteen-spotted Leaf Beetle but it's not reported there yet in BugGuide http://bugguide.net/node/view/8194
Not this one Sergio! The one in the link I posted in the comments! :)
Karen, you know I am not entomologist, but I think our beetles are from completely different species. The antennae are very different from each other.
Thanks Jacob - close but no cigar! I think I have seen Sergio's on bugguide though so I will check it out!Thank you Mayra!
Fantastic, Karen!
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/102...Asergio's, so definitely not exact species, but I guess I was way off when I thought I saw the same thing!
I literally just saw this somewhere on PN...
