Black Soldier Fly

Description:

I found this fly on the wall of my house. It is black, look-like wasp, and has two small transparent "windows" in the basal abdominal segments. The size of this fly is about 10 mm in length.

Habitat:

- Around the house and garden.

Notes:

- This is a common and widespread fly of the family Stratiomyidae. Thanks to LaurenZarate for the ID.
