Yes, it has many common names, but I wanted to suggest the scientific name so that David can add it to the spotting.

and they have a tendency to grow in newly graveled or paved areas

Shaggymane - very edible, but you have to pick it and drop it in the pan of hot butter! They wilt very quickly. Pick only the young "unopened" ones
