Great spotting of these awesome Aussie birds. Ava has mentioned adding a reference - just means adding a link to other sites (like Wikipedia for example). If you search for Kookaburra's online, and find a site (let's do Wiki) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kookaburra - copy the URL address and paste it into the 'Add a reference' section of your spotting. You'll need to be in the 'Edit this spotting' section to do this. Anything other than EOL or Wiki, paste into the 3rd box. A really great site for our local birds is Birds in Backyards - http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/... I hope this helps. Just try a add these two links and see how it goes. Not difficult once you get the gist of it :-)
This is a lovely spotting. To make it complete, and useful to researchers using this site for data, please edit this and add a reference about this species in the reference field of your spotting. Please do this for each photo you post. Thanks for helping to make Project Noah a complete reference tool for scientists.

I love everything about these birds, but... there call is a little annoying.

Thanks for the advice Ava but as an armature photographer with no science background, I have o idea what is involved in making a reference.
