A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Zingiber spectabile
It has a small resemblance to a pineapple, without any leaves on the top. It has several semicircular ridges that close up together at the top. Size is unknown, though I would guess it is around 15 cm tall and 5 or 6 cm wide. It would appear to be the fruit, due to the bright colors of the organism. It has reddish brown spotted leaves at the base.
Secondary Tropical Rainforest.
Special thanks to Satvik, who helped me identify it with his own spotting
