Hi Candice. I think the Gray Treefrog is the only species of treefrog whose distribution is that far north, into Canada. Even though it is called the Gray Treefrog, they are often green! As for the scientific name, it is a conundrum since there are 2 species of Gray Treefrog and the only way to tell them apart is by their call.
