Indian Golden Oriole

Oriolus kundoo

Description:

A bright cadmium yellow bird with black feathers. Its eyes look as if lined with Kohl. It has a reddish pink beak. Its claws are pointed and sharp and if you look closely, it seems to have perched rather delicately on the branch, so I would say its claws could be rather strong to support it.

Habitat:

This particular one has been staying in this tree along with its mate. this tree serves to camouflage it well with its yellow flowers and both the birds seem to disappear within. Only when you hear its sound, you notice its presence there.
