Southern Leopard Frog

Lithobates sphenocephalus

Description:

The Southern Leopard Frog is generally green or light brown in color, with dark brown or black blotches. They grow to 3 1/2 inches in length and have a pointed snout.

Notes:

This frog was found swimming in our saltwater pool. We have learned to help them return to our koi pond. If left in the pool, they are unable to get out and eventually die from exhaustion.
