Description:

Photo take in my backyard this is a common tree in the Yucatan Peninsula it can grow up to5 -30 mt tall it has really big hairy leaf about 60-80 cm diameter, Is use by local people for kidneys disease to dissolve rocks. Is know as well as pumpwood and trumpet tree.Some Blue-crowned Motmos and Tucans may there nest on top of this trees.

Habitat:

It is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama. Common Names are trumpet tree or snakewood tree. In Central America it is known as Guarumo. Though impressive silhouetted against the sky, it is an invasive species to the islands of Hawaii.
