Description:

Approx. 1" long. A genus of potter wasps with a mainly Holarctic distribution, though there is a number of species extending through Indomalayan, Australasian, Afrotropical and northern Neotropical regions. There is also a single species reported from Hawaii.

Habitat:

Usually found near a water source.

Notes:

Found in a small downtown park.
