We call it Sada-Bahar (the always-flowering) in Hindi (India) and this is a very common flower here, mostly used for worship. A very hardy plant, needs little to no care. Often self-seeds. Nowadays, the nurseries are introducing many new colours but these new varieties are fragile and die quickly as compared to the original ones. Used to be called Vinca earlier. This is a source of many medicinal compounds; including anti cancer compounds.
