cassia x nealiae
known for its "clouds" of sherbet shades of yellow, peach and pink blossoms, it is the official tree of the city of honolulu; the rainbow shower tree is a hybrid cross between the golden shower (c. fistula) and the pink and white shower (c. javanica)

to catch the rainbow shower blooms, right about this time. june/july. weather-wise though it's also quite hot and humid. and a bit rainy.
what is the best time of the year to visit?
sorry. i really should have proofread. :b
ohtheir. you definitely have to. especially my home islandthe, the big island. the rainbow shower is definitely one of the few indicators of spring/summer that we have here since we don't have "real" seasons. in the winter there's only green leaves but right now the blossoms take over and they resemble cherry blossoms.
That's a pretty cassia...I've never seen it...one of these days I've got to get to Hawaii!
