Hypomeces squamosus
I found these weevils on the citrus tree in my backyard. These broad-nosed weevils have an amazing colors that resemble shimmery gold dust. The female one (below) is larger than the male. The size of each weevil is about 10 mm in length.
- Around the garden and bushes (on citrus plants).
- These weevils are a part of the family Curculionidae. They are considered as a pest, because they feeds on the leaves of a wide variety of plants. Thanks to Bayucca for the ID.
Curculionidae, Hypomeces squamosus. Please, verify!

Beautiful! These are broad-nosed weevils. Weevils are covered in scales and the one with black areas has lost some of it's scales. The all-yellow one must be recently eclosed.
