Whip scorpion or Vinegarone

Description:

size 7 to 9 cm in length..dark brown or black in color with whip like tail at the base.Body has eight segments.

Habitat:

decaying palm tree avoids water and seen mostly on surface after rain.

Notes:

they are considered to release acid like substance from its tail which gives very bad odor if handled as a defense mechanism.same kind of tailless whip scorpion in the following spotting doesn't shows such behavior.http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10756593
