This was on the ground near the gas pump we were using, it was the size of a small bird
The first sphinx moth I ever saw I mistook for a bat! I actually have a photo of it here on project Noah... Mine was called Enyo gorgon and a moth expert identified it for me. Kind of got me hooked on moths.
