Queen's Delight

Stillingia sylvatica

Description:

I found several of these plants on the trail, much more than I normally find on these trails. There are some with thin leaves, and some with broad leaves. I also noticed the plant with thin leaves had much curlier flowers than the other plant, but these are all differences that are accepted as just variation within the species.

Habitat:

Fire-suppressed longleaf pine sandhill savanna
