Dolichonyx oryzivorus
A lovely male Bobolink with a cream-colored nape, black underside, white scapulars and rump, and cream-edged wing tertials.
This Bobolink had retreated from its field to the shrubs for a few moments before it returned yet again.
The link under references is a blog post I wrote regarding Bobolink conservation.

Thank you so much, Mary! So sorry to hear housing took over all the fields in Bowie. They really are struggling with increasing urbanization and alteration of farming practices, but thankfully their numbers are large enough that we still have the chance to act.
Great spotting. Have never seen one. Used to hear them when I was a child but since housing took over all the tobacco fields in Bowie, MD, no more bobolinks. Thank you for this spotting.
Thank you so much, Maria!
Nice spotting
