Neoscapteriscus abbreviatus Scudder
The shortwinged mole cricket scurries underground to scavenge for decaying matter and plant roots for its meal. It has claws designed for digging similar to a moles style of digging.
Sandy soils, usually near the coast; beaches, lawns, fields, and groves. They usually live underground for most of the time.
I needed to be sly and quiet to take a good pic of it :)
