Slime Mold Plasmodium

Arcyria sp.

Description:

Plasmodium, juvenile form of a slime mold. Plasmodium is an early stage in the development of slime molds. In different growth stages until just before the formation of the sporangia, the fruiting bodies of the slime mold. Probably Arcyria sp.

Habitat:

Spotted on a rotten pine tree trunk. Pine tree and evergreen oak forest
