Giant Eagle Owl

Description:

Verreaux's Eagle-Owl (Giant Eagle Owl) ranges from 60–65 cm (24–26 in) in length. This species has an average wingspan of 140 cm (55 in) and weighs from1.60–3.10 kg (3.5–6.8 lb). In appearance, they are distinguished by a whitish oval disk face with a black border, pink eyelids, orange eyes and two feather tufts on their ears. Their feathers are dark brown on top and light grey below.
