17 Year Cicada

Description:

These erupted at my Daughter's house about a week before we arrived. In the beginning, she said even her dogs were eating them. Red eyes, Black bodies and brown wings, landing on everything in sight.

Habitat:

Come out of the ground in heavily wooded areas and then disappear back into the ground again for 17 years.
