Description:

Shrub or small tree to15 ft. Flowers are erect clusters of brilliant red and yellow, long stemmed flowers with long protruding stamens; 5 colored sepals, 5 spreading petals. Leaves are alternate, twice even pinnate. Stems are somewhat thorny along the branches.

Habitat:

Xeric yard.
