White-Tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Notes:

A mother red deer and her fawns, spotted grazing in a horse field along a road towards Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia. The mother's eyes didn't once leave me as I got out of the car with my camera.

Wow, I should have known that! Must have uploaded this spotting too late at night, lol. I will fix this. Thanks, Ryan and Alice!

Awesome capture. I'm 99% sure they are Odocoileus virginianus. The large white tail and large ears are a dead give away. Red Deer are very rare here in N. America.
