Fawn Darner

Boyeria vinosa

Description:

Large brown dragonfly about 2.5" in length, having two bright yellow spots on the sides of the thorax and smaller yellow spots along the abdomen.

Habitat:

Shaded streams, lakes, and rivers.

Notes:

Found this male of the species behaving very oddly, he was barely moving and perched on the pot of a plant at my work. There is no body of water around my place of work so I am unsure of where he came from, he did move around I bit when poked.
