I could do sequencing, but that seems like a little much.
I know it can be frustrating trying to decide between the two species. Unless there is a gap in the range I think it is pretty much impossible.
That would exceed my lab experience. :D

I have read that these two species can look identical to one another, and that counting chromosomes might be the only way to tell them apart for certain. :)
The pattern is more distinct than the common gray. I think Cope's might be a better fit.
