halyomorpha halys
newly hatched bugs
urban garden
1. I initially thought that what I saw was a caterpillar. I took one macro shot and it was only then that I realized that these were newly hatched bugs moving literally together as if they were looking for their mother. The wind was blowing so hard that some of the photos were blurred. The size of the entire group was approximately one inch. So you can just imagine how small the bugs were. 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_marmo...

Thanks gatorfellows!
Could not find a good range map for BMSB; but did find that it is native to Asia. The photo is of a stink bug arrangement of eggs (parallel rows), and the nymphs have this shape and often these markings when they hatch.
Thanks AnnvanWijgerden for the assist!
Great photo series! These look like Brown Marmorated Stink Bug nymphs (Halyomorpha halys) - see spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/109...
