Mourning Mormidea

Mormidea lugens

Description:

The most beautiful stinkbug I have ever seen! The designs are almost tribal! The bug itself was quite clumsy, and had fallen off my finger before I could get any more photos. It also would walk a little, and then roll over, and struggle to get back up.

Habitat:

Found amongst weeds on the rock path leading up my house.

Notes:

Perhaps something in the Pentatominae subfamily? Size: about a 1/4 inch in length.
