Scarabeo

Description:

This beetle found on the beach of the Darsenna of Viareggio is called a scarabeo in Italian, but I'm not sure it is the official Scarab beetle of Egyptian fame.

Habitat:

Restored beach dunes of the Darsenna side of the San Rossore Park in Viareggio along the south end of the Ligurian Sea and the Italian Riviera.
